The second volume of Unsilent Mode brings together collaborators from the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Portugal, and the UK, with the latter three serving as sequential performance locations. Devising began in May 2025. This volume explores borders, migration, and home in flux, while foregrounding the less visible and nuanced experiences between clashing policies and ideologies. It frames these grey areas as sites of disruption, unsettling the boundaries between narrative and form, reality and play, performer and audience, the physical and the digital, and the live and the mediated. The project also continues to develop subversive and reciprocal dynamics first glimpsed in the initial volume.

Unsilent Mode Vol. II is presented by the University of Exeter and supported by the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership (SWWDTP), the University of Bristol, Teatro Estúdio Fontenova, Lanyim Theatre, Suan Anya: Historical Hall of the Northern People, Cozomia Performing Arts Archive, and the Society for Theatre Research. Poster design by Jazzie Lee Jin Jye.
